Our Aim

We aim to make the history of the Brisbane River Valley accessible to the public in print and electronic formats.

Our photo gallery is regularly updated on Facebook and Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails also supports the Ambassadors of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, a subcommittee of local artists; and the Friends of Stonehouse.

Recent Publications

Recent publications include “The Life and Times of Scamp White (2014), The Colinton Boys (2015), Legends of the Brisbane River Valley (2015) ,  History of Racing in the Brisbane River Valley to 1940 (2018) and our Heritage Recipe Book (2019) – see Books/merchandise menu.

The Yimbun Rail Tunnel (602637), Harlin Rail Bridge (602636) and the Colinton War Memorial (650029)  were nominated for listing on the Queensland Heritage Register by our association.

After the whole Brisbane Valley Rail Trail was opened to the public in 2019, we erected interpretive signage at Blackbutt and Macnamara’s Camp in honour of two early pioneers of this Rail Trail;  the late Kevin Allery and Reg McCallum, Life Member of Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails.
